Who am I?
Dr RJ @ Essential GuidesI am fingering around with a theory that the cosmos plays buggers with us when we turn forty. No it is not the carnage of age I speak of. Something altogether more sinister. Nothing the average forty year old can fully grasp. I am quickly getting to the bottom of it..
"What if the devil was not the teethy, horny, forked tailed, boil suppurating, vermin, that we make him out to be? What if Mephistopheles descended upon earth in the shape of 'turning 40'?"
Call for Gripes!
Essential Guides seeks original gripes* describing the presence of evil in all areas of 'Turning 40' and our ongoing efforts to forestall the devil's work. Gripes, preferably, should not have been published or be in submission in another book or blog. Gripe submissions must not exceed the ordinary run of a normal* human's attention span, representing the results of original research or innovative reading of the devil at work, relevant to the subject at hand. A panel of qualified reviewers will screen all submissions.Review process
Two reviewers will be assigned to each gripe. Selection criteria include originality of areas, clarity and significance of results and quality of the presentations. Referees will be asked to nominate gripes for a Best Beef award to be announced.
